Olga Lexell is currently a Staff Writer on a half hour comedy show. She previously worked as a writers’ assistant and script coordinator for six years, and gained set experience on multiple productions. She is repped by Matthew Dartnell at Writ Large; you should talk to him if you want to pay her to do something for you.
Olga was born in Kyiv, grew up in Chicago, and attended school in Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo. She graduated from the University of Southern California, where she studied film and behavioral economics.
Her online writing has been featured in publications like McSweeney's, Reductress, Paste Magazine, Autostraddle, Cracked, Buzzfeed, and Splitsider. She low key really wants to get into Shouts & Murmurs but it’s a tough crowd.
Outside of writing, she has volunteered and worked for multiple political campaigns including Bernie 2020, Scott Epstein for City Council, Kenneth Mejia for City Controller, and Healthy Streets LA. In her spare time she serves on the Board of transit justice group Streets For All and is an appointee to the LA Metro’s Public Safety Advisory Committee.
